… the maximum charging speed. Generally, a fast charging speed implies higher cost. Reduced charging rates from preferred partners may be regarded as exceptions.

Possible charging speeds range from …

… normal with AC (alternating current), to fast with DC (direct current), to extra-fast with HPC (High Power Charging).

    FAQs

Why am I being charged for charging sessions that occurred a long time ago?

Occasionally, a delay in the transfer of charging session details from the charge point operator (CPO) can result in customers being billed for sessions conducted earlier. These delays are rare and occur due to technical communication issues between systems.

Please note that whilst CPO pricing may have changed since the session date, the charges applied will reflect the rates that were valid at the time of the charging session.

Why are there blocking fees applied to my charging sessions?

Blocking fees are applied for the following reasons:

    1. Encouraging fair use of charging stations
      • In general, blocking fees are raised by the operators of the charge points to encourage drivers to remove their fully charged vehicle from the charging station, so another car may be charged.
    2. Avoiding misuse of parking spaces
      • Some charging stations might be located in parking lots where parking fees apply for gasoline cars but not for EVs during charging. In order to discourage EV drivers from using these spots as free parking spots after the car is fully charged, operators of charge points might raise blocking fees.
      • There could also be car parks, such as shopping centres, where you need to pay parking fee upon entrance of their premises, as well as blocking fee if your vehicle occupies the charge point for longer than 90 / 120 / 180 minutes, depending on the station's conditions.
    3. Maximising efficiency at High Power Charging (HPC) stations
      • Lastly, High Power Charging Stations can quickly charge one car after the other and thus should not be blocked by a car that is fully charged as it would defeat their purpose.

    Additional notes:

    • Blocking fees vary depending on the charge point operator and local regulations.
    • Always check station-specific policies in your smart charge@street app or charging card terms before starting a session.

How can I redeem my voucher?

There are two ways to redeem your voucher: either directly during registration or later in the customer area.
    During registration:
You can enter your voucher code in the "Voucher" field in the last step of registration.

    In the customer area:

    • Log in to your customer account.
    • Go to "Contracts".
    • Go to "Add a voucher".
    • Enter your code number in the free voucher field.
    • Go to "Check voucher".

If you need further assistance, please contact Customer Service.

How can I check the remaining amount of a voucher?

The remaining voucher amount is available if you go to "Contracts" on our website. Within "Contracts", there is a section called "Vouchers" where all of your possessed vouchers are displayed. What you can see there are: the voucher name, the validity period, and lastly, the residual voucher amount (below that, the initial voucher value).
